Yuriy Andrushenko

Yuriy Andrushenko, 73, passed away, Monday, August 10, 2015 in the home of his oldest son, where he was being cared for.

Yuriy was born October 30, 1941 to Vasiliy and Maria Andrushenko in Tuapse, Russia who died in World War II when he was still a young boy. Most of his childhood was spent in an orphanage. He was the middle child of three, his older brother Vyacheslav still resides in Russia and his younger sister Irina still resides in Turkmenistan, where Yuriy met his wife, Lyubov Aleksandrovna Primakova. After their wedding, Yuriy adopted his younger sister, and raised her alongside his children. Yuriy and Lyubov have six children, four sons, and two daughters; Alexander, Konstantin, Andrew, Alexey, Tatyana, and Mila. He was a loving grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandkids. 

Yuriy had a heart of a servant, ready to help anyone where physical labor was needed. His hard working hands have helped many in the community with building their homes, renovating the church, and volunteering at the Whatcom Community College. Despite the fact that he couldn’t understand any English, he was a hard working employee at HERTCO kitchens as a cabinet assembler and at Yamato Engine as a sand blaster operator.

A special thank you to the staff at Whatcom Hospice for their outstanding support and loving care during the length of his illness. 

A Memorial Service will be held at Slavic Baptist Church, 1413 Broadway, Bellingham, WA 98225 at 11:30 am on Thursday, August 13th, 2015. Followed by a burial service at 2:00pm at Green Acres Cemetery.

Семья Андрющенко с прискорбием сообщает: 10 Августа 2015 года, на 73 году жизни после проголжительной болезни скончался Андрющенко Юрий Васильевич.

Юрий Васильевич родился в г. Туапсе, Краснодарского края 30го Ноября 1941 года у Василия и Марии Андрющенко которые погибли во время Второй Мировой Вайны. Почти всё его детсво прошло в детском доме. У него есть старшый брат, Вячеслав который живёт в России, и младшая сестра Ира которая живёт в Туркмении, там где Юрий встретился со своей будущей женой, Любовью Александровной Приймаковой. Сразу после свадьбы, Юрий взял свою младшую сестру с детского дома и воспитывал её в месте со своими детьми. У Юрия Васильевича и Любови Александровны шестеро детей, 4 сына и 2 дочери; Александр, Константин, Андрей, Алексей, Татьяна, и Мила. Он был любящим дедушкой 21 внукам и двум правнучкам.

У Юрия Васильевича было очень широкое сердце, и он был всегда там где нужна помошь. Его трудолюбивые руки помогли многим, как там в России, так и здесь в Америке. Он помогал в постройке и отделке домов, помогал в стройке Good News Fellowship и нашей Церкви, трудился волонтиром в Whatcom Community College. Не смотря на отсутсвие Английского языка, он много лет был прекрасным робочим в HERTCO Kitchens и Yamato Engine.
