Our Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, "Willis “Willy” LaValle Warwick, Jr.", 56, went to be with the Lord on the 4th of July, 2015. He was loved by everyone who knew him.
We had my baby brother transported to the Whatcom Hospice House on July 2, 2015. He was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) 5 weeks ago, to the day. We were told that it was 90% curable, with this new drug Gleevec. We were hopeful that this $10,000, a month drug, was going to be effective. He spent almost 2 weeks in the hospital and came home for 2 weeks. He went back to the hospital last Friday. We were told that his cancer had taken a bad turn, and was now acute. For all of you who know and love Willy, I wanted to share this devastating news. We are in Shock, and Broken hearted. He was my 91 year old Mother’s Baby Boy. He treated her like Gold. We will so, so miss you Will, Will. I know you will be in “Heaven” entertaining Tricia Kay with your wonderful sense of humor (which we will miss so much).
Willy was born April 25, 1959 in Bellingham to Virginia Eagleton and Willis Warwick, Sr. He was preceded in death by his Father. Willy graduated from Bellingham High School in 1977. He was voted "Best Sense of Humor" all 4 years. He loved golfing (but took the game too seriously). He also loved all sports on TV, and walking. Willy was an avid collector. Willy worked at Alcoa for 20 years, and was recently employed at WTA, as a Bus Driver, for 14 years. Willy is survived by his Mother, Virginia Eagleton; Sisters, Sue (Larry) Hurst, Nancy Warwick, Linda (Jerry) Brookings, Brenda (Joel) Tarrida; Nieces, Kari (Gary) Tissandier, Kashara (Eddie) Ward, Kiawna (Som) Prak, Breyana (Kenny) Oliver, Bristin (Eric) Scharf; Nephews, Brad Hurst, Kameron (Sloane) Ketcham, Brenton Brookings, and numerous Great Nieces and Nephews.
