William J. “Bill” Alexander, age 91, of Ferndale, WA, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025. He was born April 1, 1933 in Red Lodge, Montana to the late William Alexander, Sr. and Helen (Kamppinen) Alexander. Bill was raised in Frannie, Wyoming and lived there until he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1955.
Bill is survived by the following: Marlene (Reiter) Alexander his wife of 60 years as of December 28, 2023; his sons, Brad Alexander (Janet Alexander wife), Shaun Alexander, Samuel Alexander, Nikolas Alexander (Allison Alexander wife); his 5 grandchildren; Nathan Alexander, Sophia (Alexander) Boulos and husband Adonis, Lacy Alexander, Silas Alexander and Riley Alexander.
Bill was a U.S. Army Korean veteran, Active and Reserve. After discharge from Active Duty he attended and graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology. He spent many years doing Civil and Private Land surveying in many of the Western United States until retiring in 1999 from Whatcom County Engineer in Bellingham, WA.
Bill was a member of Immanuel Bible Church in Bellingham, WA. He served and worshipped along side his many dear friends there for many years. He was also a longtime member of The Gideons International.
There will be no services now but a Celebration of Life is planned for later in the spring.
