Vern Russell Thompson, age 86, of Bellingham, passed away at his home, Saturday, May 12, 2012. He was born May 11, 1926 in Ortinville, Minnesota. Vern is survived by his 7 children; Jackie Pearson (Roger), Russell Thompson (Vicki), John Joslyn (Debbie), Jeanette Rhodes (George), JoDe Ross, Vicki Stone (Brad), and Linda Fritz. 21 grandchildren; Christine Austin (Ethan), Jessica Pearson, Danielle Rustad (Monte), Joe Joslyn, Rachelle Joslyn, Carrie Meyers, Cherry Thomas, Alicia Holmquist, Andrea Daskum, Debra Johnson, Diana Anguidno, Jerusha Messner (Scott), Jerad Crawford (Jessica), Heath Thompson, Zac Tilton (Nikia), Zeb Tilton (Adell), Aimee Stone, Aaron Stone, Shane Fritz (Brianna) and Chauntel Fritz. 21 great grandchildren; Tyson, Amber and Cora Joslyn, Charlie Roessell Jr., Sequoia Roessell, Mikel, Samatha and Destiny Thomas, Logan Holmquist, Mya Anguidno, Miranda and Jorga Messner, Rose and Klysta Tilton, Brianna and Alyssa Tilton, Stephanie and Hannah Rustad, Brandt and Peyton Baugh, Jaxon and Bleys Fritz, Ebin, Papillon and Rowan Fritz, and Sommer Kay Stone Holten. There are also many other nieces, nephews and other relatives. Vern was preceded in death by his wife Doris, son Vance and grand-daughter Angela Kay Stone. Vern was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 60 years until the time of his passing. Vern retired from Georgia Pacific. Vern was known for his kindness, generosity and hospitality. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. At his request no services will be held.
