Tom D. Davis

August 12, 1937 — February 6, 2025

Mount Vernon

**In Loving Memory of Tom D. Davis (1937-2025) ** Surrounded by loved ones, Tom D. Davis, adored husband, dad, brother and friend died peacefully in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, on February 6, 2025. He was 87 years old.

Born on August 12, 1937, Tom was the firstborn to Jim and Dorothy Davis. His arrival heralded the start of many adventures, joined later by his sisters Ann, Sue, and Gail.

Tom was a Northwest boy through and through, with either a hunting dog at his side or a fishing pole in his hand - here he was happiest. Oh, and warm blackberry cobbler, with a “blop” of ice cream made him pretty darn happy too.

While an Elite track and field athlete in college, Tom pursued an undergraduate degree in Education from Western Washington University and later a master’s from Arizona State University. In college Tom's journey took a significant turn when he met (chased) the love of his life, Eli. Married for 58 years, their shared sense of love, acceptance and play set the foundation for a robust life together.

Tom’s dedication to education and leadership saw him influencing young lives for 30 satisfying years, most of them spent within the Shoreline School District. His roles as teacher, mentor and coach made him a beloved presence at Shorewood High School.

Although Tom had an accomplished life, he is defined more by his way of being – kindhearted, a twinkle in his eye and so easy to laugh. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Sue, foster son Ron, daughter-in-law Lani and his beloved Eli, Tom leaves behind a legacy of life lessons. He is survived by his sons Andrew, Toby (Kathleen), and Jason (Kristen), as well as seven cherished grandchildren, each of whom will carry forward the spirit of the kind man he was. While we mourn Tom's passing, let's also applaud a life well lived. Rest in peace Tom. We love you.
