Sharon Lea Jordan

July 30, 1951 — March 2, 2025

Bellingham, WA

Sharon Lea Jordan (Grenier) went home peacefully to Heaven on Sunday, March 2, 2025, after managing a congenital liver defect for over a decade. Her family is forever grateful for every extra moment they were able to share with her.

Sharon was born to Clarence and Alice (Gooding) Grenier at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham, WA, on July 30, 1951. She grew up on Ellis Street with her sister, Sue Dralle. Sharon graduated from Sehome High School in 1969, where she met some of her closest lifelong friends. She attended Yakima Valley College, and upon graduation, began her career at Bellingham National Bank. In the spring of 1980, she met the love of her life and best friend, Mark Jordan, and they married shortly thereafter on December 10, 1980. Together, they had two sons, Jesse and Brett Jordan, whom she affectionately referred to as her “two good boys”. Sharon selflessly left her career to become a pillar of strength and love for her family. She also cherished her four-legged companions, Hanna and Sophie, and loved taking them on walks with Mark through the neighborhood where she raised her boys. Her greatest joy came from being a mother, and her family was the center of her life.

Sharon enjoyed taking her family to their cabin in Birch Bay during the summers, gardening, crocheting, and spending quality time with friends and family. She was well known for her charisma and sense of humor. In her later years, she worked part-time for the Bellingham School District, preparing and serving lunches for elementary schools. When she wasn’t working, she relished long drives with Mark around Whatcom County, as well as trips to Mount Vernon and Wenatchee. Sharon was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and attended Sunday services with Mark.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Mark Jordan; her two sons, Brett and Jesse (Mindi) Jordan; and Jesse and Mindi’s children, Taylor and Jacob Green. She is also survived by her sister, Sue Dralle; her nieces, Rita Blair and Renae Ingraham; and many other extended family members and friends in the local Bellingham community.

A graveside service will be held at Bayview Cemetery on Friday, March 14, at 2:00PM.

We want to thank the Hospice personnel who were so caring and helpful to Sharon and her family during her final days. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Whatcom Hospice House (Whatcom Hospice Foundation) in her memory.
