Sandra Pearl Knight

Sandra Pearl Knight, age 72, of Ferndale, WA passed over into the Lords Arms Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in Bellingham. Sandy was born May 30, 1942 in Spokane, WA to parents Ned and Edith Kelly. She was preceded in death by her daughter Kelly and her parents, and is survived by sons, Lonnie Johnson and his wife Holly and Buddy Johnson, Rod and Eric Knight; brother Jim Kelly; numerous grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Sandy served as a nurse at Anacortes Island Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham and various other Care Centers. She graduated from Whatcom County College and held degrees in Nursing and Chemical Dependency Counseling. Sandy was a loving and caring person to all throughout her life, did everything for her family. She had many interests including Water Ballet and Stained Glass and loved her wild birds and they were well cared for just as her dog friend wicket. Sandy knew and loved the Lord and was looking forward to being reunited with her daughter and so many others in heaven. She had spunk and a great sense of humor and was tougher than boot leather! Her stubborn streak was an asset and served her well in life. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at her home in Ferndale, 4601 Orcas Way.
