Ruth Elizabeth Manos

Ruth Elizabeth Manos, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022. Ruth was born August 29, 1931 in Bellingham to George and Myrtle (Ruth) Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pano “Pete” Manos on March 14, 1999. Ruth graduated from Bellingham High School in 1949 and worked for Seattle First Bank from a number of years. She married Pete Manos on September 19, 1953 and they soon after moved to Ferndale and raised their family. Ruth had many interests besides being a good Mom and loving wife, she loved to work in her yard and it showed. Ruth used to joke that was her “therapy”.  She also learned how to do stained glass and become quite good at it. Ruth’s other interests were in volunteering. The Ferndale Food Bank and Peace Health Hospital were where she spent many years giving her time.  As a longtime member of United Church of Ferndale, she helped out there in any way she could. Ruth is survived by her two Sons Curt and Craig (Debbie); Brothers Ken and Don; 2 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews. At Ruth’s request there will be no service. Donations may be made to the United Church of Ferndale or the Lighthouse Mission.
