Beloved Roberta “Berta” Jean Vaught went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 22, 2017 @ 8:55 PM. She was born in Faith, South Dakota. She moved to the Tri-Cities as a child. Richland is where she made her home. Working for Lee’s Tahitian and The Council Club she made drinks and friends; some of which lasted a lifetime. Berta also worked at Hanford for Battelle. She possessed nurturing and compassionate qualities that allowed her to care about those who touched her life. Although a bit feisty and spirited at times, Berta would be THAT shoulder to lean on when needed. Berta enjoyed being at her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Everyone knew when she was there supporting them. She was the loud voice yelling from the sidelines, of course! Berta will be remembered for being honest and loving to all. She impacted an amazing amount of people’s lives and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter. She is survived by sister, Mary Pat King; children, Donna Mills, Darrel Vaught, Samara Vaught; seven grandchildren; three, great grandchildren; two nieces and three nephews. A Celebration of Berta’s life will be held on Saturday, June 3rd at CG Public House and Catering, 9221 W. Clearwater, Kennewick, WA, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. We’d love to have you stop by with a story or to reminisce.
