Robert Ward Clarke

November 9, 1966 — July 13, 2024

With deepest sorrow, we announce the loss of our husband, father, brother, and friend, Robert W. Clarke, on 7/13/24, following a brief hospitalization. Robert lived his life for his wife and children. The love he had for us is what gives us the strength to endure his tragic loss. Robert will be missed by so many who had the honor of knowing him. He was a proud man who took pride in everything he did. Robert was born November 9, 1966 in Cape May Township, NJ to Harry and Dorothy Clarke. He followed in the footsteps of his father, brothers, and sister by serving in the US Coast Guard aboard the USCGC Vigilant in New Castle, NH. Robert overcame many personal obstacles in his life through personal perseverance and the love he had for his family. Robert enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life. He was reintroduced to his love of music and was building on a vast collection of vinyl records that captivated his mind, body, and spirit. He was often heard asking friends and strangers “give me the name of your favorite album for me to listen to.” Robert loved to go on road trips with his son and walks with his daughter. He is proceeded in death by his parents and sister, Delsa Miles. Robert is survived by his wife Tracie, sons Robert and Timothey, daughter, Brittney, brothers David (Patsy), Chuck, and sisters Debbie, Kimmie, Theresa, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Those who knew Robert will remember his gentle spirit and unwaveringly integrity. He was a man of quiet strength and wisdom who taught his children unconditional love and to enjoy life’s simplicities. His family is honoring his wishes by celebrating his life privately at a later date.
