Robert "Bob” Graves

Robert “Bob” Graves, age 81, a wonderful husband, father and grandfather, of Ferndale passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham. He was born April 27, 1941 in Bellingham to parents Russel Lawrence and Latrelle (Grimes) Graves. He is survived by his wife Evie of 58 years; daughter Tracy; son Rob; grandchildren Jessica, David and Isabelle; sister Debbie and her husband Gary Holwegner and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends.

Bob spent almost 40 years as an electrician, beginning in 1965 in construction and retiring from Intalco.  He took pride in his work. Often we would hear things like “I wired that building or look at that crooked conduit or you can never have too many circuits or outlets.”

Doing things for others was a big part of his life.  From helping his kids and grandkids, to his volunteer work at Warm Beach Camp, the Lighthouse Mission and Child Evangelism Fellowship as a board member.  Many of his friends and family members would attest to his skill and generosity.  Bob loved where he lived and small town and farm life suited him well.  For relaxation he enjoyed fishing, camping and road trips with his wife Evie.  Bob will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
