On the afternoon of February 9th 2025 at the age of 69, beloved mother and wife Randi Elizabeth Pears passed away into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. She was born June 8th, 1955 in Vancouver, BC, daughter of the late Ronald and Diana Brackett.
Randi is survived by her husband Edger Pears Jr; her four daughters Kari King, Natalie Coplin, Laura Pears, and Selina Gorsegner and spouse; 10 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild; her brothers Dan Brackett and Dave Brackett, and sister Cheryl Gardner and their families.
Randi grew up in Gibsons, BC with her brothers and sister, spending their summers at the beach and on Pender Island with family. She played the clarinet in school and always loved to sing. Her father Ronald had a shoe repair shop while her mother Diana worked for Sears and eventually was the director of Hospice for the Sunshine Coast before they moved to Sidney, BC years later. After graduating in 1973 Randi moved to Vancouver, BC and attended Glad Tidings Church in Vancouver where she met her husband and married in 1977. She worked at Hudson's Bay, then a record company, and then for Canfor. She gave birth to their first child Kari in 1979, Natalie in 1982, Laura in 1984, and Selina in 1987. Randi and her family moved to Whatcom County in Washington in 1989, and moved to Birch Bay, WA where she and her husband Ed resided for 35 years. She worked for Ken Keller Exports starting in 1994, and then attended and graduated from Whatcom Community College in 2015 for her Certificate in Accounting.
She enjoyed attending church, singing, gardening, doing puzzles, playing games, going for walks, and spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her daughters and grandchildren.
There are no words to express our deep loss of our beloved Randi. She will be missed for her warm heart, her beautiful smile, her wonderful laughter, and her love for the Lord.
