Ralph Theriault passed away on December 9, 2015.  Ralph was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on Christmas day 1921 at 12:05 AM.  By being the first born on Christmas day, he won his mother a baby carriage.  Ralph graduated from Wilby High School in 1941.  He enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1942 and served in the China Burma India division of the Flying Tigers for 4 years, rising to the rank of Sargent.  He was honorably discharged in 1946.  He and his 3 brothers served in WWII and came home safely.  Ralph was a member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge 265 for 30 years.  He was an employee of Southern New England Telephone Company for 37 years and retired in 1982.  An avid golfer, he achieved 3 holes in one.  He was a wonderful husband, father and friend to many.  Ralph and his wife Rita were married 69 years.  He is survived by his wife Rita (nee Pernatozzi) Theriault, daughter, Pamel Theriault; son, Gary Theriault; grandson, Austin Theriault; granddaughter, Rachel Theriault; nephew, Paul Theriault; the Theriault family in Naples Florida.  Ralph was a gentleman.  Many described him as a “man’s man.”  He was loved by many and will be sorely missed. A funeral mass will be offered by Fr. K. Scott Connolly, Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, 10:30 AM, Church Of The Assumption, 2116 Cornwall AV, Bellingham, WA 98225.  A celebration of Ralph’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, 12 noon – 4:00 PM, Birch Bay Village Clubhouse, 8055 Cowichan Rd., Blaine, WA 98230.
