Quentin “Pete” K. Peterson, age 83, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Pete was born October 11, 1929 in Lead-Deadwood, South Dakota. He shared 60 wonderful married years with Lolita who preceded him. He moved to Bellingham at the age of 6 with his parents William (John) and Emma Hancock. He owned and operated “Pete’s” Texaco on Prospect, and later worked for Cascade Laundry and Nick Jerns at Jerns Funeral Chapel until he retired. He is survived by his daughter Cozette and Rick Davis, son Gregory and Linda Peterson, 6 grandchildren; Greg and Megan Peterson, Brent Peterson, Tiffany and Josh Arnett, Drew and Joella Livesey, Ryan Livesey, Quinn Livesey, 7 great grandchildren- Faith, Tylor, Luke, Trinity, Skylar, Shayla, and Corbin, and nephew Ron and Betty Beers, and niece Beverly. A memorial open house will be held at 1:00-3:00 pm on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Sig’s Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services, 809 West Orchard Drive Suite 3, Bellingham, WA 98225.
