Otto John Heinz, Jr.

Otto J. Heinz, age 77, formerly of Ferndale, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in Mount Vernon, WA.  He was born July 28, 1937 in Olean, New York.  His family moved to Ferndale, WA in 1954.  Otto graduated from Ferndale High School.  His favorite hobbies were fishing, hiking, traveling and spending time with his family.  The last 6 years he spent the winters in Lake Havasua with his partner Geri Wisdom of 10 years.  He was preceded in death by his wife Jacquelyn of 44 years.  He is survived by his daughter Julie and husband Nick Hughes; two granddaughters, Nicole and husband Matt Loya, Andrea and husband Tony Bocek; 5 great grandchildren, Ryley, Zack, and Peyton Loya, Cole, Taylor and Baby Bocek; brother in-law, Chuck Slosser and wife Barbara and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A celebration of Otto’s life will be held Sunday, July 19, 2015, 1:00 – 3:00 PM at “The Barn” 2751 Aldergrove Road, Ferndale, WA.
