Norma Esther Anderson Taylor passed away peacefully in her home on July 7, 2014. Norma was born to Swedish immigrant parents on June 8, 1927. She was raised in West Seattle and celebrated her Swedish Heritage throughout her life. She met her husband of 64 years through the Seattle Mountaineers Club. They were married in 1950 and enjoyed many years of sailing, skiing and travel. They raised two children on Mercer Island to whom they passed on the joy of these activities. Upon retirement, they settled on Bainbridge Island. Norma was instrumental in the initial success of Associated Vintners/Columbia Winery as comptroller and in retirement, volunteered many hours to UNICEF.
Norma will be remembered for her love of Opera, Democratic politics and her devotion to her family, relatives and close friends, whom she loved and enjoyed. She is survived by her husband Allan Taylor, son Paul Taylor, daughter Joanne Stoner, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, all of whom reside in Bellingham
Norma made her way through life with exquisite grace and compassion. She is deeply loved and shall be forever missed.
