Nancy Lou Kolbe, age 78, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 11, 2015. She was born in Everett, WA to parents Howard V. and Lillian (Christensen) Tate April 2, 1936. Nancy was married to her husband, Roger Kolbe for fifty nine years. A graduate of Western Washington University she was a dedicated teacher for over thirty years including public school, private school, Sunday School classes, and Young Adult classes. She loved Middle School kids but her favorite was teaching college age students.
Nancy was also very passionate about her family, delighting in loving them and creating memories that she cherished to the end. Gardening and sharing what she grew was important to her also. She was an active member of Immanuel Bible Church and her faith was a source of strength and comfort to her. Her life verse was Philippians 4:13.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Stan Tate. She is survived and will be greatly missed by her loving husband Roger, her 4 daughters Kathy and husband Rick Leamer, Leanne and her husband Paul Akers, Pam and her husband Pete Emme, and Sandi and her husband Lance Friberg; 11 grandchildren, Kristen, April, Briana, Lynnette, Andrea, Alisha, Kayla, Kolbe, Josh, Daniel, Jake; 4 great grandchildren and other relatives.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Immanuel Bible Church, 2000 West North St., Bellingham, WA 98225, Monday, March 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM. Private family interment Greenacres Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Immanuel Bible Church.
