Melinda (Mimi) Marette Caufman

Mimi was born on July 4, 1942 to Jeff and Mary Marette, in Bellingham WA. She peacefully passed September 26, 2024. Mimi attended Assumption School and forever leaned on her Catholic faith and beliefs. In 1960, she graduated a proud "Raider Babe" from Bellingham High School. As a young adult, Mimi traveled through Europe with her beloved Aunt Liberty. Over the years, she worked as a unit secretary at Providence and Ballard Hospitals. After marrying Bernie Caufman (BHS class of 1957), they often vacationed in Scottsdale AZ, and enjoyed camping trips around the Northwest. There was never a dull moment with Mimi, and we will all miss her humor and love of life. 

 Mimi is survived by Bernie, her husband of 40 wonderful years, her brother Nick Marette (Patti), nieces Heidi and Mandi, Bernie's son Steve, grand nieces and nephews, and many close, special friends. 

 At her request, there will be no funeral services. Mimi will be laid to rest at Tahoma National Cemetery.
