Mary Ellen Roland

Mary E. Roland, age 95, of Bellingham died peacefully, Thursday, May 30, 2024, in Bellingham.  She was born July 5, 1928, to parents Lawrence Edward and Mary Ellen (Faulkner) Sutter.  Mary was known for her seamstress abilities and worked as a seamstress for St. Francis of Bellingham for many years. She loved sending special cards to family and friends everywhere. Mary enjoyed being in her home watching the different forest animals come into her yard to eat and play.

She is survived by sons David Roland (Kathleen) of Puyallup, Steve Roland (Susan) of Lynden, Kevin Roland (Doris) of Las Vegas, grandchildren, Katie Arnett (Randy), James Roland (Laura), Heidi Roland, John Roland, and Brookes Roland, great grandchild, Lucy Roland, and “extra special nieces”, Alice King and Sharon Hansen.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband, John Roland, daughter, Julie Roland, grandson, Jason Roland and other family members.
