Lois M. Davieau, age 84, of Ferndale passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 16, 2015. She was born May 22, 1931 in Vancouver B.C. to Jack and Iris Richardson.
Lois moved to Whatcom County at the age of 2 and graduated from Bellingham High in 1949. She then married Bruce Baldie and they raised four children together. In 1983 Lois married Wally Davieau. They enjoyed riding snow mobiles, camping, and spent their retirement years as snow birds in Yuma AZ. She retired from Safeway after 25 years as a meat wrapper. Lois was an amazing woman, with a positive attitude that touched so many lives. She loved everyone and everyone loved her.
Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane and sister, Marlene. She is survived by her husband Wally, children; Dan(Pauline)Baldie of Carlson, David Baldie of Ferndale, Debbie(Keith)Worth of Ferndale, Chad Veenstra of Ferndale and Mike(Sloan)Morales of Tucson AZ and numerous grandchildren, great-grand children, nieces and nephews.
An open house to celebrate the life of Lois will be held on Sunday, August 23rd from 1PM to 4PM at Latitude 49 Clubhouse, 4751 Birch Bay-Lynden Road. The family would like to give special thanks to mom’s caregiver and dear friend Mo and the caring staff of Hospice. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Hospice.
