Lloyd Eugene DeVries

Lloyd E. DeVries, age 76, of Ferndale went to be with his Heavenly Father Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in Bellingham. He was born Dec. 10, 1938 in Armour, South Dakota, to parents John E. and Lena (Meyer) DeVries, and, moved to Washington at the age of 3.  Lloyd married his life-long sweetheart, Mary Ann Ten Kley April 17, 1957 in Lynden.  He was a Dairy farmer for over 40 years. Lloyd enjoyed his family, hunting, bowling and was an avid Mariner fan to the end. Lloyd loved spending time helping others.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Kellogg; and is survived by wife of 58 years Mary Ann; daughter, Tammy LaPlante (Don); son, Brian DeVries; grandchildren, Donnie LaPlante (Meredith), Jeremy DeVries (Mikayla), Victor Kellogg, Cory LaPlante (Denise), Chris DeVries, Tiffany Kellogg, Lindsey DeVries, Stacy LaPlante and Tara Berwick (Shane); 8 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Blair and numerous other relatives. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Victory Christian Fellowship Church, BC Ave., Lynden.  Family suggests memorials be made to, Whatcom Hospice, 2800 Douglas Ave., Bellingham, WA 98225.
