Kristine Lynch

Kristine "Whitlock" Lynch, 63, passed away at home in Birch Bay, Saturday afternoon July 6th, surrounded by family and friends. She had fought a tough battle over the last seven years, trying to recover from a devastating car accident in 2006. She will always be loved and remembered for her sassy, stubborn and giving spirit. Her husband Tim at her side to the very end of this battle. Kristine is survived by husband Tim, daughter Daina and son Luke, step children James and Kimberly. Grand children Joseph, Mason, Conner, Natalie, Saoirse, and Jeffery. Siblings Rick, Reg, Kirk, Kathy, Nancy, Robin and their spouses. Along with many nieces and nephews. Her constant companions, cat's Skids and Squeek, and her dog Patch that were her little gifts from God providing her joy and happiness throughout the many years.

Her final two weeks were filled with family, friends, laughter, crying, singing and a bit of wine and cheer. She finally regained a say and control of her life and never had second thoughts.

Tim and Kris's love for each other never waivered in good times and in bad. A match made in Heaven as she was often quoted as saying "I will never remarry". Tim caught her at a soft moment and she said "yes" in 2000, they married on February 29th in Bellingham as per Tim's humor, only an anniversary every four years.

Her other loves were Dodge Challengers, driving commercial trucks, plants and flowers, sunsets over Birch Bay. Crabbing off of the Blaine pier (in season). Kris would help anyone that needed it, even when she had little of her own. Her bright smile normally preceded her by the smell of Giorgio perfume.

The family will be having a remembrance celebration, on a future date, yet to be determined in Sechelt BC, so Kristine can rejoin her mother Joyce, and father Doug, on the Sunshine Coast.

Tim and Kris would like to thank all of the people who have helped in her long battle over the years. Including Vancouver General Hospital, Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center, Stafholt Good Samaritan Center in Blaine, Visiting Angels of Bellingham" Karen Kelm" and Shauna Pilant "friend". A special note in the fight was Dr. David Allen of Blaine, Dr. Tracy Ouellett of Bellingham and Dr. Dwight Moore Ph.D. of Blaine.

A very special thanks with love to Chuck and Debbie Schamel. Tim and Kristine's longtime friends and business partners.

A party for Kristine will be held Friday, August 9, 2013 from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at the Pastime Tavern in Blaine, WA, attire to be Hawaiian with lots of color, fun and joy, NO BLACK.
