Karen Lea Miller was the kindest sweetest person that you would ever want to meet. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Karen passed away on August 1, 2024 in Bellevue, Washington at Overlake Hospital. Karen was born on December 30, 1952 in Seattle, Washington to Dick Chin Lung and Dorothy McKeever Chinn. She had a natural love for animals especially dogs. During her lifetime she had many dogs sometimes four at once. Her husband, Russell Wayne Miller, whom she was married to for 36 years. He had a love for cats. Both of them being so compassionate they had both dogs and cats.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, mother, and husband. She is survived by her two children; Michelle Paprick and Angela Cartwright, her brothers; Nick Fowler, Gary Stone and Ron Chinn, her sisters; Kathy Hunter and Angie Bracero, her granddaughters; Courtney Lea Kinley, Karrisa Nichole Cartwright and Emma Jade Cartwright and her great grandsons; Keanu and Jeremiah and numerous cousins.
Karen’s favorite past time was shopping. She loved to shop for fashionable clothing and various decorations in her home. Karen was an awesome bowler. She started bowling in leagues as a youth and even as an adult she belonged to her family’s restaurant, Chinn’s Palace bowling team. Attending the race track, she loved to bet on grey horses because she was optimistic that they would win. She was passionate in everything she did. She played many hours of cribbage and she loved to play board games and many different card games. She was a very hard worker and this showed in her bartending at her family’s restaurant. Also, in her gardening. Everyone she ever met was strongly affected by her extremely friendly personality. We can’t say enough about Karen she was such a wonderful person and will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at Enterprise Cemetery, 7041 Vista Drive, Ferndale, Washington on Monday, August 19, 2024, 1:00 P.M.
