Karen was born on May 25, 1942 to Robert & Margaret Johnson
She attended Assumption School and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1961.
Karen lived in Beaverton, OR, for several years, working at Honeywell & P.G.E. and later moved to Seattle WA where she worked & retired from Boeing. In 2011, she moved back to Bellingham to spend her retirement years near family & life long friends.
Karen was the third of 15 children. She is survived by her siblings, Lynn (Don) Snell, Richard (Peggy Fogarty) Johnson, Bill (Debbie) Johnson, Katherine Coventry, Ed Johnson, Theresa (Brian) Flanery, Mike Johnson, Kris Johnson, David Johnson, Gregg (Tawnya) Johnson and Tim (Monica) Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her mother Margaret, in 1951, father Robert Johnson, her 2nd mom Mary Johnson, sister Patricia Meehan, brother Donald Johnson, sister Cynthia Aubert, brother-in-laws Bruce Coventry & Steve Aubert and nephews Seamus Meehan & Danny Snell.
After taking a fall and breaking her hip, Karen's health declined. We were blessed to be by her side, surrounding her with love & prayers as she completed her journey here.
Karen will be sorely missed. She loved her family, her siblings, her many nieces & nephews, and all the four legged fur babies.
She left us with many fond and amusing memories that will last us a lifetime and bring us a smile. She will be forever missed but always held close in our hearts.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Hospice for the care and comfort they provided to our Karen.
Karen will be laid to rest at Bayview Cemetery on July 19, 2024.
