Julianna Carpenter found peace in the end, after battling a long series of health issues. Surrounded by family and loved ones, she passed away February 18th, 2025. Preceded by her Parents Alpha Kindlund, Carl Kindlund and Scott Kindlund, Husband Kip, Daughter Kylie, and surrogate son Jeremiah in the company of Angels. Survived by her sons Rory, Matt, and Michael. Daughter in law Rheagan, Adoptive daughters Tiana, Cassie. Grandchildren Carlee, Chloe, Mykah, Alicia, Nevaeh, Nilay, Airabella, Miah, and Alden, Moore Family, Crediford Family.Julianna was born in 1962. She graduated from Sehome High school in 1980. In early adulthood she gravitated toward modeling and found pride in scouting and aiding in finding employment for our nation's young women. She met her first husband Kelly after high school the father to their only biological son Rory born in 1985. She co-founded Blue skies for children in 1992 and stayed with them for 10 years. BSFC is now one of the premiere nonprofit organizations benefiting homeless, low-income, and foster children of Whatcom and Skagit counties. From 2002-2008 she became the regional director for recruitment and retention of foster and adoptive families through Fostering together/Why Foster/FFK/FPAWS.
Julianna married the love of her life Kip Carpenter on Valentine’s Day, 1997. Together they fostered over 79 children and youths and adopted 10. Honoring their commitment and love to one another they renewed their vows in 2016 surrounded by their children, close friends, and family. In 2003-2013 Julianna founded Holiday Giving Store, a wonderful nonprofit that provided access to free Holiday gifts and warm clothing to low-income and needy families. She always had a warm and giving heart that loved to give to others and make the most out of any memories to be made. She was the TRUE essence of making the most of her connections with her time with us on this earth. Making memories that will last us all a life time. In the end her two passions were being a doting grandmother and the owner of Imperial Jewels Havanese. Where she raised and always fostered love and the affection for healthy, well trained, Havanese puppies. Julianna lived her life in service of others. Her smile and warmth mirrored her compassion and kindness, which she shared with everyone she encountered. She will be missed and her legacy will live on as a ripple effect on our community. She built an empire of family and friends alike.
She embarked on her earthly journey of time to inspire others to live to their true potential and guide the light she saw in us all.
