On Saturday, March 31, 2018 the world lost a wonderful, caring man who was loved so deeply by his family. John L. Troglia was born on July 3, 1938 in Butte, Montana, he married the love of his life Jacqueline Banfield on May 4, 1958 in Butte. John worked for Haggen’s as their Meat Department Manager for many years and loved interacting with his customers. His hobbies included bowling, golfing with his family and working in his shop. John enjoyed helping anyone who needed him, such a kind man with a laugh that was contagious and a smile that light up a room. John was preceded in death by his daughter Christina, parents Tony and Eleanor Troglia and his brother Jim Troglia. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Jacqueline; children, Karen Gamble (Scott Decaigny), John Troglia (Kathy) and Susan Meader (Les); grandchildren, Angelia Jones (Clinton), Kayla Ovenell (Stan), Janel Byers (Matthew), John Troglia, Mitchell Holland and Tanner Holland (Ashley); and eight great grandchildren. A celebration of life open house will held Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at The Chateaux at the Garden Green Retirement Community, 8780 Depot Road, Lynden, WA 98264. The Troglia family suggests memorial donations be made to the Whatcom Hospice House, 2800 Douglas AV, Bellingham, WA 98225.
