John Joseph Bernett

John Joseph Bernett, age 55, of Lynden passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in Bellingham.  He was born September 25, 1962 Seattle, Washington to parents Harold and Margaret Theresa (Helfert) Bernett. John graduated from Shoreline High School and served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. John loved to fish, work on cars, building gas airplanes and spending time with family and friends.  John will be missed deeply.

 He was preceded in death mother Margaret Bernett.

Survived by wife, Cindy Bernett of 25 years; son, Cameron Latta (Jackie); daughter, Carissa Bernett (Kevin Bishop); grandson, Jaiden Latta; father, Harold Bernett (Karen); brother, Hal Bernett (Devona); sister, Alyshia Wilkins; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and other relatives.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at Enterprise Cemetery, 7041 Vista Drive, Ferndale, WA 98248, on Friday, July 27 at 2:00pm.
