Janice Rose Dickson

Janice Rose Dickson, age 71, was born in Bellingham Washington on August 26, 1943, raised by loving parents Andrew and Katherine Evich. She attended college at Western Washington University in Bellingham, where she met Mike Dickson, whom she married soon thereafter.  Upon graduation, both moved to the Seattle area. On June 11, 1972, they welcomed a son, Anthony.  On September 2, 1975, they had a daughter, Heidi Suzanne Dickson.  Janice lovingly raised her children and spent many years in the housewares department of Frederick & Nelson at Southcenter Mall.  Later, she worked for many years as the cosmetics specialist at Bartell Drugs.  After her divorce, Janice relocated to Des Moines, Washington spending more time doing the things she loved - gardening, cooking, spending time with her children and cats. Ever the fighter, Janice battled hard in her later years to fight cancer.  Beating it once, but finally succumbing on Saturday, December 20, 2014.  Janice was proceeded in death by her twin sister Janet to cancer as well.  She is survived by her two children, Anthony and Heidi Dickson.  A celebration of life was held Tuesday, January 6th at 2:00 pm at Judson Park Chapel, Des Moines, WA.  A graveside service will be held Monday, January 12, 2015, 2:00 PM, at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham.
