Janet Marie Isaacs

Janet Marie Isaacs, age 75, of Bellingham passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 in Bellingham. Janet was born on April 4, 1939 in Hanford, CA with her identical twin sister to parents Harley and Irene (Buenafe) Scott. She also had a sister, Joyce, two years older. She enjoyed being a high school cheerleader with her twin sister and had many friends. She met her first husband Jack MacIntyre in San Francisco where they had their first child, John. They moved to Seattle where their second child Jill was born 3 years later. Jan moved to CA with her second husband and for 15 years she worked as an executive secretary and bookkeeper for various businesses. Some of her fondest times were with her twin sister who lived nearby. After her second divorce she and her twin sister moved back to the Pacific Northwest where she was reunited with longtime friends. She continued to work full time as a bookkeeper, until she took care of her twin sister who passed away in 2001 from skin cancer. Jan worked at Ace Hardware for a number of years, enjoying the social interactions and customer service as a cashier until her health declined. The past 4 1/2 years have been spent in Bellingham near her daughter's family in assisted living at Orchard Park. Many good times were shared with her daughter's family and friends at Orchard Park. Her daughter would like to thank all of the caregivers, nurses and doctors for their loving care. Jan had a gift of making people feel special and her kindness will live on in the lives she touched.
