Jan Rochelle Williams

Our mom, Jan R. Williams (Shorty) passed away on Tuesday October 17th, 2017 after a massive stroke, her 3rd. She was made very comfortable, felt no pain and passed surrounded by family.  She is survived by her 3 daughters, 4 grandchildren and numerous nieces.

Our mom, truth be told was AWESOME!  She taught us what to truly value in life and to work hard as hell to achieve it.  To stand up for ourselves and others, to think for ourselves, and to be accepting of others.   She taught us how to truly thrift shop, properly wrap a gift, that you always need glow sticks, and that if you didn't vote than shut up.  She loved our friends like they were her kids.  Always supported us in our choices and always let us succeed/fail on our own, but was there to help if needed.  She gave the best hugs!  The only thing better than having her as a mom was our kids getting to have her as a grandma.   We are truly blessed because we got the most important thing of all...time with her.

We promise to throw water at your grandkids whenever possible, make sure everybody gets a crisp $2.00 bill in their stocking, always go overboard on holiday decorations, we can never have too many fireworks, wear sparkly clothes with pride,  and forever appreciate all the wisdom and acceptance you gave us.  We pinkie swear!  We love you Shorty and we know you are always with us!

Jan (Shorty) was very specific in her wishes.  "Cremate me and then have a memorial/party, but only say nice things about me!"  So the memorial/party will be Saturday November 4th, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Clubhouse, 500 Fieldstone Loop #54, Lynden, WA 98264.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the memorial to the Jan Williams Memorial Fireworks Show.
