James Robert “Jim” Tolin, Jr., age 72, of Lynden passed away in Bellingham Monday, May 30, 2022, after a long and hard fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. For 20 years, Jim handled the disease with grace and dignity. He provided all of us the privilege for a long good bye.
Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years LouAnn Tolin; his mother Mae Tolin; his sister Nancy Tolin; three adult children, Jeff Smith, Lisa McNelly, and Shawn Smith; and three grandchildren, Enzo, Jamie, and Luca.
Jim lived life to the fullest and did it his way. He owned and operated Punctual Transportation, Inc., an intrastate trucking company and later Travel Agents International in Bellingham, Washington. Never one to be idle, both businesses provided Jim the opportunity to meet lots of interesting people in his travels.
