Jack L. DeGolier

Jack L. DeGolier, age 86, of Bellingham, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Bellingham Health Care in Bellingham.  He was born August 6, 1928 in Bellingham to parents Vernon and Essie (Hallman) DeGolier.  Jack married the love of his life Naomi Grace Thompson-Green November 3, 1967 in Bellingham.  He with four other people started Bellboy Boats in Bellingham and in 1957 started United Boat Builders which became Uniflite where he worked until 1977 when he opened up Harbor Marine Sales which he operated until 1982.  When he was not working he loved fishing, boating, working with wood and going to various casino’s, traveling in his Motorhome and spending time with his family. His largest salmon caught was 72 ½ pounds.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dale, Don and Larry DeGolier and grandson Keith Hogan.  He is survived by his wife Naomi of 47 years; daughters, Brenda and her husband Bruce Hogan of Latah, WA, Vicki and her husband Bruce Evenstad of Bellingham, Laurie and her husband Fred Cavalli of Bellingham, Janell and her partner Mark Varner of Bellingham and Cathy and her husband Brett Hooper of Vancouver, WA; sons, Loren DeGolier and his wife Julie of Nooksack, Jim DeGolier and his wife Clarine of Bellingham and Kevin DeGolier and his wife Connie of Port St. Lucie, FL; 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and his beloved dog Sophie. A memorial services will be held at Immanuel Bible Church, 2000 North St., Bellingham, WA 98226, Saturday, April 18, 2015, 1:00 PM, with Pastor Russ Hawkins officiating, with a reception following. The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice, Bellingham Health Care, Bev, Randy and Denise.
