Jack L. Brownrigg, age 78, of Bellingham passed away at Lynden Christian Healthcare in Lynden Saturday, April 5, 2014 with his wife at his side. He was born October 28, 1935 in Bellingham to parents Lyle Michael and Bernice C. (Olson) Brownrigg. Jack was lifetime resident of Whatcom County. He graduated from Bellingham High School in the class of 1953. Jack married the love of his life Beverly J. Johnson November 12, 1960 in Bellingham, and together they owned and operated various Grocery Stores and Jack was named Grocer of the year for Washington State. Jack loved Boating where he was a member of the Bellingham Yacht Club and the Wheel & Keel Boating Club of Bellingham, fishing and his Cocker Spaniels, gardening, his lawns were always immaculate. He was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sister, Janet. Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years Beverly; brother, Richard Brownrigg and his wife Vickie; sister in-law, Dianne and her husband Ron Fry; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and his loving dog Brady. An open house will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014, 12:00 Noon – 3:00 PM at the Squalicum Boathouse at Zuanich Point Park, 2600 Harbor Loop, Bellingham, WA 98225. The family would like to thank the Staff at both Lynden Manor Specialty Wing and Lynden Christian Health Care for their love and care.
