Irv McGriff

Irv McGriff, age 61, of Bellingham passed away at his home Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born February 4, 1953 in Portland, Oregon to parents Gordon Douglas and Audrey Nan (Larsen) McGriff.  Irv’s greatest love in life was his family, friends and the great outdoors.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Shari Kordenbrock.  Irv is survived by his wife Lisa of 26 years; children, Hollye Vague and Jeff McGriff both of Friday Harbor, WA; grandchildren, Lili, Quincy Jr., Ty, Reese and Jeremiah; mother, Audrey Ford of Fort Walton Beach, FL; father, Gordon McGriff of Portland, OR; sisters, Judy Bice and husband Rick of Bend, OR, Terri Zimmerman and husband Mike of Dallas, OR, Ailie Csaszar and husband /Stephen of Niceville, FL and Carrie Bergstrom and husband Allan of Portland, OR; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and a very large family in France.  Irv was the best husband, father, brother and friend that anyone could ask for.  A celebration of life open house will be held Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Sig’s Funeral & Cremation Services, 809 W. Orchard Dr., Suite 3, Bellingham, WA 98225.   Feel free to dress casually in jeans and a flannel shirt, Irv’s favorite attire.
