Halgair Jarloff Dahl

Halgair J. Dahl went to be with his Savior on Thursday, August 6, 2015. Hal was born on April 14, 1919 to Louis and Josephine Dahl. He spent his childhood between Pt. Roberts and Bellingham, WA. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1937, earning the title of "Fastest Man in Whatcom County" while running track. He served in both the U.S. Navy and Army during WW2. He met and married Margaret Kelly in 1949. They were married 48 years. Hal was a commercial fisherman on his gillnet boat the "Lo Lo D" for over 60 years. He also worked for Uniflite Boat Builders as a cabinet maker for numerous years. He and Margaret had five children; Lois Dahl, Norm (Michelle ) Dahl, Ron Dahl, Gary (Bonnie) Dahl, Steve (Aumony) Dahl, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, provision for his family and his ability to make almost anything out of wood.  Hal accepted the gift of salvation late in life at age 90. He was baptized at 91 and in the presence of Jesus at 96. He and Margaret loved to dance and he is reunited with her, dancing again.
