George Alastair Nairne

George Alastair Nairne, known to his old friends as ‘Al’ passed away peacefully New Years Day after a long illness. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years Elizabeth, daughter Barbara, son Colin, daughter in law Wendy and grandsons David, Nicholas, Mark and Kyle Frewin of Vancouver. Also bother in law Bill Inglis of Nanaimo, BC and sister in law Joan Purdy of Prince Rupert, BC and many nephews and nieces.

Al was born in Vancouver on Mar 10^th 1926 and attended Prince of Wales high school and UBC where he obtained his B. Comm degree. He was well known in the boating industry for many years. He enjoyed being both a sailor and a pilot. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. “A long watch, well stood”
