Gary Eugene Huffman

Gary E. Huffman, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024 at the age of 77 in Bellingham, WA, with his wife Roberta D. Huffman and son Benjamin D. Huffman by his side. Gary leaves behind a legacy marked by dedication, service, and love for his family and friends.

Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Gary was a proud graduate of Mount Tahoma High School. His journey of service to his country began when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. Following his military service, Gary embarked on a distinguished career with the Washington State Patrol, commencing on January 24, 1969, when he was appointed as a patrol cadet. Commissioned on May 11, 1970, Gary served the WSP with unwavering dedication for 27 years, making significant contributions to his community and earning the respect of his colleagues in law enforcement and those he served.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gary cherished his role as a loving husband and devoted father. He found joy and fulfillment in his family and in spending time outdoors camping and fishing.
