Elise "Elyse" Jeanette Soran

Elise “Elyse” Soran, age 78, of Bellingham, WA was born in New York City on September 2, 1946, to Barbara and William Soran. Elise passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. 

Elise attended John Adams High School in New York City before earning her Business Administration Certificates at Plaza College. Elise worked as a bank teller at Citibank and was a secretary for the Coca Cola Company in Glendale, NY. She eventually worked as a civilian employee in Fort Totten Army Base. Elise donated her time volunteering with the Bayside Little League and the Northshore Animal League. 

Elise will be lovingly remembered by her beloved sons, Andrew, and Ronald D’Agostino. After her divorce, she spent most of her adult life in Washington State. Elise moved back and forth between Northwestern Washington and Long Island, New York.

Elise’s passions were reading, horseback riding, music, baking, and arts & crafts. Elise always appreciated nature and had a special love for dogs. She had four dogs during her lifetime and especially loved the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. She was brilliant and was considered the very talented artist of the family. Elise had an amazing sense of humor and a beautiful laugh. 

Elise was preceded in death by her grandparents Henry Fellman & Elise Bauer, parents William Soran & Barbara Hoffman, Aunts Emma White & Marvin White and Eva Hunt & Alfred Hunt. Uncle Herbert Fellman & Francis Fellman and Uncle Henry Fellman & Jimmie Fellman.

Elise is survived by her brother Martin Soran & Maria Soran; sons Andrew and Ronald D’Agostino; her grandchildren Angelina and Andrew D’Agostino; Cousin James Hunt & Barbara Hunt and their children Patti and Jim; her nephew Matt Soran & Marissa Soran and their children Sebastian and Avery. 

We take comfort in knowing that Elise is now at peace surrounded by light.
