Donna Gene (Bentley) Young, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, mother-in-law, and friend passed away peacefully at home in Deming, Washington, on Saturday, October 4, 2014. She was born on February 18, 1943, in Anadarco, Oklahoma, to her parents Viola Gertrude Lizzotte and Albert Franklin Bentley. She moved to Zillah, Washington, as a small child and attended high school there. Later, she moved to Grant County, Washington, where she married and raised her four children. After the passing of her husband, Bob Osborn, Donna moved to the Bellingham/Deming area to reside with her family.
Donna loved all things family, and her mission was to be a stay-at-home mother and caregiver and to make happy family get-togethers. She also loved gardening, reading, and a good game of cards.
Donna is survived by four children: Keith, Joey, Bobbi, and Gina; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. Family time was her greatest joy. She was her family’s greatest joy.
In lieu of a service, on Easter, April 5, 2015, which was Donna’s favorite holiday, the family will host a celebration of her life at their home in Deming, Washington. Family and friends are invited to attend.
On her behalf, Donna’s family would like to thank the Whatcom Hospice group and the individual caregivers who took such good care of her and the family.
