Donna Jean Erickson

Donna Jean (Maleng) Erickson, was born in Acme, Washington on May 19, 1936 to John B. and Edna Pearl Maleng. The love of her life, Ronald C. Erickson, was with her until the end. They were married fifty-eight years. Donna passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 in Lynden, surrounded by family. She was a graduate of Mt. Baker High School Class of 1954. Her interests were snow skiing at Mt. Baker, watching the horse races, and golfing with family and friends. She loved the ocean, the stormier the better. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Edna Maleng. Her family support was her husband, Ronald C. Erickson; daughter and husband, Kristi and Everett Denton; son, Michael Erickson; grandchildren, Lisa (Tim) Smith, Loralei Denton, Ryan (Dana) Denton; great grandchildren, Caleb, Emily, Bethany, Chloe, Audrey and soon to be Titus. She will be missed by her brother, John Edward Maleng, and wife Frances, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Many thanks to Christian Health Care Center and Whatcom Hospice. A celebration of her life will be held Monday, August 18, 2014, 1:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5782 Lawrence Rd., Everson, WA 98247, with Pastor John Okan officiating with reception following. Private family graveside to follow at Saxon Cemetery in Acme.
