David Alan Bergmann

David Alan Bergmann, age 62, of Birch Bay, passed away suddenly in Burlington, Washington on Wednesday, September 19, 2012.

Dave was born August, 26, 1950 to Maynard and Gloria (Freeman) Bergmann in Bellingham.

He married the love of his life Pamela Chadd in December 1989. They had a bond that was very special.

Dave was employed as Chief Operating Officer for the Bellingham and Whatcom County Housing Authorities at the time of his death.

He enjoyed living near the water, spending time on his boats crabbing and most of all camping and traveling in his RV with Pam and his poodle, Maisen, who Dave called “Baby Girl”.

Dave was preceded in death by his son Derek Bergmann, his parents Maynard and Gloria Bergmann, and his brother Dennis Bergmann.

Dave is survived by his wife Pam of 23 years, sons, Dan (Gabrielle) & Dave (Lauren); grandchildren Tianna, Tyler, Trevor, Curtis and Alexis; siblings, Steve Jackson, Dick Bergmann and Glorene George and numerous nieces, nephews and his poodle Maisen.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 28, 2012, 1:00 PM, at the Birch Bay Community Church 4460 Bay Road (corner of Blaine and Bay roads), Blaine, WA 98230.

Memorials may be made to Kulshan Vet Stray Animal Fund, 8880 Benson Road, Lynden, WA 98264, to aid in caring for and placing pets in need of a home.
