Darlene Marie Amsler

Darlene M. Amsler, age 89, of Lynden passed away at her home surrounded by her family Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024. She was born Aug. 7, 1934 in Ferndale, WA to parents Oscar E. and Mildred M. (Prevoft) Olson. She grew up on a small Dairy and Egg Farm off the Olson Road in Ferndale. She married her high school sweetheart Jerry Dale Leech and they raised 5 children together until his untimely passing. Darlene was very active in Church including Calvary Temple, New Life Fellowship and Christ the King where she served as a greeter and coffee conversation. She loved her many friends, working in her yard and flower gardens. Most of all mom loved the Beach and being by the water with her family. She had a Condo in Kaanapali, Hawaii where she vacationed with family and dear friends. She will be greatly missed and always loved, Aloha Mom! Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, her daughter Jody Martin and her son Tony Leech. She is survived by her husband Theodore Amsler; children, Mike Leech, Patti Brisky and Curt, Jeri Robinson and Steve; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, Feb. 9, 2024 at New Life Fellowship Church, 810 E. Pole Rd., Lynden WA 98264.
