Bruce Inge, age 53, was born in Bellingham, March 15, 1961 and was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County. After graduating from Sehome High School in the class of 1979, he worked for many years as a Glazier for Lyndale Glass and other glass companies. He also fished in Alaska several seasons.
Bruce had an “old soul”. His best friends were often decades older than he was. He had close relationships with his Grandpa Bill Inge, his grandmother Margaret Inge, and Grandpa Voris Richter. He enjoyed spending time his grandmother Gert Richter to his last day.
The Beach House was a place where Bruce could launch his boat and cruise the San Juan Islands. Matia, Sucia, and Patos were among his favorite places to boat. The Beach was a place to gather with friends and family, Bruce could always be found around the campfire at night, sharing stories and talking sports and music….Country music.
To say that Bruce loved sports is an understatement. If the Rams were playing, you know Bruce is watching. The Huskies, weather winning or losing, Bruce was a devoted football fan. Bruce would drive to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl if the Huskies were playing.
Bruce was a gentle giant. His kindness and gentleness could be seen with his close friends and his cats. His family loved and cared for Bruce as much as he cared and loved his family. He is survived by Paula Perfilio; Bob and Carole Inge his loving parents; brother, John Inge and his wife Lorrie; sister, Stephanie Janes and her husband Bill; and brother, Sunny Inge; nephew Marcus, nieces Victoria, Courtney and Collette.
He was a wonderful soul and will be missed immeasurably.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, March 20, 2015, 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church, 110 Flora St., Bellingham, Washington 98225 with Pastor Jeff Flint officiating.
