Bess Hansen, our beloved wife and mother went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. Bess was born into the Tlingit Tribe in Petersburg Alaska on October 17, 1932. She has been a resident of Bellingham since 1966 and worked at Wakefield Cannery for a while, and retired from the Bellingham Post Office. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Al Hansen; son, Joe Hansen; daughters, Angie Kroll and Ruth Brock; brother, Jim Hanson; grandchildren, Jesse Pagnossin, Spring Oman, Aaron Jackson, Lisa Jackson, Travis Jackson, Rowland Nickolaus Shephard, Frank Pullar, Miles Pullar, Wendy Hansen, Quint Brock, and Cody Brock, and many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Her family was the joy of her life, and although her presence will be missed, she will live in our hearts. A Celebration of Life has been arranged by her dear friend Denise Robitalle Cobb, and will be held at the Legacy Room at Silver Reef, 4876 Haxton Way, Ferndale, WA 98248 at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2017.
