Barbara M Stewart

 Barbara M. Stewart, age 54, of Ferndale, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior, on  Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in Bellingham, WA. She was born in El Paso, Texas on July 1, 1961 to parents Hans and Ingrid Keller.

Her parents were born and raised in Germany. After Barbara’s birth she and her parents traveled back to Germany. When Barbara was three years old, they came to the United States and settled in the Houston, Texas area.

After high school Barbara attended Alvin Community College and received her Associates Degree in Art. From 1984-1988 she trained as a dental assistant in the U.S. Air Force. In 1989 she married Kenneth L. Stewart. Then in 1993, she had her one and only son, Waylon Stewart.

Later in life Barbara owned her own house cleaning business. She loved to garden and had an amazing green thumb. She also loved animals and everything about them. Most of all she loved being a mom. She loved to have all of Waylon’s friends over and treat them like they were her own.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father Hans Keller. She is survived by her son Waylon Stewart, her mother Ingrid Keller, brother Gary Keller, and sister Dagmar McMahan.
