Arthur Rustand

Arthur A. Rustand, age 85, of Ferndale was born July 7, 1937 in Blaine, WA to Oscar & Enes (Oslin) Rustand. He attended Lynden High School, after school he joined the US Navy serving 3 years. After returning from the Navy Art met Lois Lasher. They married August 12, 1960 in Lynden. Art & Lois made their family home in Ferndale. They had 4 children Cindy, Larry, Linda, Sandy. He enjoyed watching stock car races at Skagit Speedway, cutting wood and gardening. Art retired from Wilder Construction July 3, 2002, after working with them for 41 years. He passed away at his home in Ferndale on Friday August 19, 2022. Art leaves behind his wife Lois of 62 years, his daughters Cindy Zawicki & Linda McIntyre, son-in-law John Rideout & sister-in-law Louise Parker and Caroline Rustand and brother-in-law Lawrence Lasher and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 8 siblings, children Larry Rustand & Sandy Rideout.

The family will hold a celebration of life at their home on Zell Rd at a later date.
