Annette Elizabeth Smith, age 63, fondly known as "Grandmanet," was born on September 15, 1961, at March Air Force Base in California and most recently resided in Lynden, Washington. She dedicated 22 years of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse, and toward the end of her career found her passion as a community health nurse, providing devoted care to the elders of the Nooksack Tribe. Annette's proudest achievements were her roles as a loving mother and grandmother to daughters Ashlie Mattingley (Spouse Joe) and Jenaye Blomeen (Spouse Ian), and grandchildren Seth, Rylie, Reigan, Reese, Gracie, and Oscar. She is survived by her husband Ron Smith, siblings Jimmy Wisdom, Brenda Edwardsen, and Margie Wisdom. She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Virginia Wisdom, sister Francis Wisdom, and her ex-husband James Webber. Annette was known for her infectious smile, her talents in sewing, gardening, cooking, and her unwavering support of her grandchildren's extra curricular activities and sporting events. She embodied a warrior's spirit through life's challenges and was a devoted Christian. Annette's love and tough nurturing touched everyone around her. A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Community Church, 4173 Meridian St., Bellingham, WA 98226 to honor her remarkable life on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, at 12 noon.
Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
